SURVIVOR BEACH
The 5th Annual Survivor Beach will take place Sunday, June 19th, 2011 on the beach near Scripps Pier in La Jolla, California. Click here for MAP.
This event is free and open to the community.
Survivor Beach was created in 2007 as a way to bring together individuals in the community to show their support for cancer research and to honor all individuals in their fight against cancer.
Participants form a symbol of support by creating the longest line of surfboards laying in the sand nose-to-tail. The line starts at Scripps Pier and extends towards La Jolla Shores. Last year, approximately 200 people made a line that was just over three football fields long.
Come this year and…
- Help us break last year’s record – bring your quiver!
- Receive a free Surfing for a Cure souvenir
- Watch Heali’i's Polynesian Revue perform traditional dance
